Ashley Graham SI News: Former Cover Model Criticizes Graham's 'Unhealthy' Sports Illustrated Appearance [PHOTO, VIDEO]

Not everyone is on board with plus-size model Ashley Graham's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover.

Former multiple-time cover model Cheryl Tiegs recently revealed her feelings about Graham gracing the cover along with Ronda Rousey and Hailey Clauson for the 2016 edition. Tiegs said she didn't think Graham's appearance in the magazine was a good thing because it is "unhealthy" to be her size

Interesting Facts About Ashley Graham

"I don't like that we're talking about full-figured women because it's glamorizing them because your waist should be smaller than 35 [inches]," Tiegs told E! News. "That's what Dr. Oz said, and I'm sticking to it. No, I don't think it's healthy. Her face is beautiful. Beautiful. But I don't think it's healthy in the long run."

Graham has had to overcome a lot of diversity in her modeling career, but likely won't let Tiegs' negative comments bring her down. Tiegs appeared as the cover girl on three separate occasions, including in 1970, '75 and '83, but she isn't on board with the plus-size model movement, even if it promotes diversity.

Holly Holm Wouldn't Wear Body Paint Like Ronda Rousey

Though she's faced an uphill battle, Graham is happy with her body and her latest accomplishment as a Sports Illustrated "rookie."

"I had agents tell me, 'You'll never get on the cover of magazines. You'll never be an editorial model,'" she told E!. "I had agents wave money in my face and say, 'If you drop some pounds, you can have a lot more of this!' And not even THAT was something that encouraged me to lose weight.

"The moment I realized I had to be healthy and happy in who I was, that's when my career took off."

It's unlikely Tiegs' criticisms will take away from the elation Graham felt at being included in the magazine:
