George Zimmerman Will Not Face Charges In Theft Of Wife's Property [VIDEO]

Lake Mary police have announced they will not seek criminal charges against George Zimmerman after a dispute last month in which mother-in-law charged he stole a king-size bed, antique chair and other furnishings totaling $4,500 in value from the home he once shared with her daughter.

According to CBSNews.com, patrolman Zach Hudson said Wednesday that investigators had decided the "landlord-tenant" dispute didn't rise to a criminal level. The incident took place at a home where the Zimmermans had lived before separating and Shellie Zimmerman ultimately filed for divorce.

Earlier in the year, Zimmerman was also acquitted in the shooting death of 17-year-old, unarmed Florida teen Trayvon Martin. A self-appointed neighborhood watch commander, Zimmerman admitted shooting the teen he told police he decided to follow and later confront because he thought he looked suspicious based on a hoodie he was wearing.

Zimmerman, 29, also claimed he only shot the teen in self-defense and after he inexplicably attacked and savagely began beating him.

Since then, Zimmerman has been accused of punching his father-in-law and allegedly threatening both him and Shellie Zimmerman with a gun during yet another dispute between the estranged couple. Shellie Zimmerman later told authorities her and her husband have been separated since Aug. 13, when he abruptly left town without explanation shortly following his acquittal.

Shellie Zimmerman has also told the media she now feels as if she "never really knew" her soon-to-be-ex and now isn't sure if things transpired just as he claimed on the night Martin was killed within steps from his father's home.
