HollywoodLife.com is reporting Lamar Odom has already paid for a full three-month stay in a Malibu, Calif. rehab facility and with the help of reality TV star wife Khloe Kardashian may finally be ready to check himself into drug rehab.
With Kardashian on the line with him, the website reports Odom recently phoned the facility and talked to an employee about checking into the facility. Reportedly, Odom previously checked into a rehab facility on Sept. 4, but abruptly left the treatment center the very next day.
"Lamar checked into Robert Shapiro's rehab center, Pickford Lofts, in West LA and pulled an AMA - Against Medical Advice. He left a day later," a source told HollywoodLife about the September incident.
Odom, 33, has been dogged all summer by widespread allegations of hardcore drug use, including one dealer's boasts to the media that he made as much as $800 a day off him from his addiction to crack and other drugs.
More recently, however, Odom has seemed to have turned things around, recently telling the media that he stopped taking drugs altogether several weeks ago. Odom has also openly talked about putting his marriage and NBA career back on track.
It's been reported that he met with officials from the Los Angeles Lakers front office earlier this week and the team might have some interest in breaking him back if he can prove he has at least put some of his demons behind him.
