Bray Wyatt vs Brock Lesnar Rumors: WWE Cancels Expected 'WrestleMania 32' Match After Killing Wyatt Family's Momentum [POLL, VIDEO]

The Wyatt Family was always supposed to be an intimidating stable of freaks, but the WWE has time and time again killed its momentum.

Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan have lost all credibility and their booking in recent months is absolutely appalling. It appeared the WWE was starting to begin to take the group seriously when it went on a tear through all the titans on the roster.

Projected WWE WrestleMania 32 Card

The rumor was that the "Eater of Worlds" was gearing up for an epic clash against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32 on April 3 at AT&T Stadium in Texas. Finally, Wyatt and his stable would have a chance to shine by sharing a program with the biggest draw on the roster.

That is, until Fastlane happened.

Wyatt, the leader of the brood, was taken out by Kane as his three friends lost to the "Big Red Machine" and his tag partners for the night, Ryback and Big Show. The very three giants that the group took out over the last couple of weeks got a clean victory over them.

The loss was a sign that the WWE was up to the same old tricks, cutting the legs out from under the Wyatts at every turn. The defeat was very suspicious since the WWE reportedly had big plans for Bray at WrestleMania and even thought about putting Braun Strowman against the legendary Undertaker.

As it turns out, the booking was a sign of a change of plans.

The WWE is no longer taking The Wyatt Family seriously. It was expected the fearsome foursome would get involved in the Fastlane main event to build toward a program with their biggest target yet in Lesnar. After the loss, The Wyatt Family wasn't seen again Sunday night.

Now it seems the WWE is abandoning the plans for a Wyatt vs. Lesnar match in order to have "The Beast" take on Dean Ambrose, according to Wrestling Observer Live. A Lesnar vs. Ambrose clash is logical and should be great, but the strange booking of The Wyatt Family is vexing.

Bray is 0-2 at WrestleMania and though he's faced big names in John Cena and The Undertaker, the WWE hasn't been able to sustain his momentum after those programs. Even if they weren't going with Wyatt vs. Lesnar, there's no reason for the group to constantly lose on television.

There is nothing scary about a stable that constantly makes empty threats and loses.

After Fastlane, there was Bray firing off a rare tweet in his usual cryptic fashion to try and save face.

As it turns out, thanks to WWE creative, the "New Face of Fear" isn't that scary at all.
