Manny Pacquiao Apology: Boxer Shows He Isn't Sorry For Gay Comments With Homophobic Instagram Post [VIDEO]

Not even getting dropped by Nike could stop Manny Pacquiao from being homophobic.

Just hours after the corporation cut ties with the boxer over his controversial comments calling gay people "worse than animals," the Filipino boxer was back at it. This time, he took to his Instagram to share a bible verse stating any gay person should be put to death.

"If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable," the verse, from Leviticus 20.13, reads. "They are to be put to death, their blood will be on their own heads."

Pacquiao has since deleted the post, but Filipino news outlet ABS-CBN has a screen grab of it here.

The "Pacman," who is preparing for what is expected to be the final fight of his career against Timothy Bradley in Las Vegas on April 9, is a born-again Christian and his views against homosexuals are driven by his faith.

Pacquiao is running for the Philippine Senate and caused a stir earlier this week with his stance on gays, going so far as to say animals are better than them.

"It's common sense," Pacquiao told TV5 network (via Sports Illustrated). "Do you see animals mating with the same sex? Animals are better because they can distinguish male from female. If men mate with men and women mate with women they are worse than animals."

After the controversy, Nike dropped its affiliation with the boxer in a move that his longtime promoter Bob Arum even agreed with.

"Manny's remarks were offensive to many people," Arum told TMZ. "Nike acted appropriately."

Pacquiao released a public apology after the controversy flared up, but to go on Instagram mere hours later and once again attack homosexuals shows the mea culpa wasn't sincere.
