Bill Simmons Website: Sports Guy Reveals Details Of The Ringer, Launching Later In 2016 [VIDEO]

2016 is shaping up to be quite a year for Bill Simmons.

The sports guy has already launched his new podcast as he awaits the many projects he's planning with HBO. Now, Simmons has released the exclusive details on his new website, which will be called The Ringer.

Leaving ESPN Was A Great Decision For Bill Simmons

Simmons, who founded the now-defunct Grantland, took to Twitter to announce the site will launch later this year. He also has already given his fans an opportunity to sign up for the newsletter and revealed the site's social media game is already strong:

Simmons' new site will start as a newsletter in mid-March and officially launch in late spring or early summer, according to Money.CNN.com. His spokeman told the site it will serve as "the exclusive home to all of Simmons' written material," and he'll bring on several hires, including former Grantland employees.

The sports mogul unceremoniously parted ways with ESPN last May when the Worldwide Leader dropped him after several controversial run-ins. Most notably, Simmons' frequent bashing of NFL commissioner Roger Goodell during the Deflategate scandal drew the ire of his former employer.

With millions of dollars in his pocket, a new podcast and several projects on the horizon, it's safe to say Simmons' career is doing just fine without the Worldwide Leader.
