Michael Jordan To Auction Chicago Mansion: 56,000 Square Foot Home, 19 Bathrooms Up For Sale [VIDEO]

Michael Jordan is auctioning off his Chicago mansion is an event scheduled just before Thanksgiving where bidders will be required to make a $250,000 deposit in order to bid.

Concierge Auctions is handling the auctioning of the 56,000 square foot home, which includes 19 bathrooms, a guest wing, swimming pool, putting green, tennis court and full size basketball court.

Jordan originally placed the suburban property on the market in February of 2012 for $29 million, but apparently couldn't find many takers. The NBA legend and current Charlotte Bobcats owner told Business Insider he simply no longer needs a house that big because all three of his kids are now adults.

Jordan previously took $8 million off of the asking price in July, and the house still hasn't moved. The Concierge event is slated for Nov. 22.

Jordan, who played 13 seasons in Chicago and led the Bulls to 6 NBA titles, recently built a home in South Florida where he and new pride Yvette Prieto now reside. Jordan reportedly paid $4.8 million for the 3-acres of land and spent another $7.6 million on construction for what is now a 2-story, 11 bedroom guard home, replete with a media room, athletic wing and full size court.
