Serena Williams Boyfriend: Tennis Star Thriving In Australia Despite Being 'Lonely' Without Her Rumored Flame [VIDEO]

Serena Williams may be lonely in the land down under, but it hasn't impacted her on the court.

The No. 1-ranked women's tennis star in the Australian Open is set to face No. 4 Agnieszka Radwanska in semifinal action on Day 11 and if all goes well, she'll get a chance to win the entire tournament for the seventh time in her career and second straight year.

Williams has already won five rounds in the tournament, but she noted that the experience isn't without its drawbacks.

"I have been spending a lot of time learning about myself this trip," Williams said, according to The Guardian. "It's been kind of sad. I have been, like, alone a lot. It's been kind of like boring."

Williams has been romantically linked to rapper Drake in the past, but most recently, her rumored boyfriend is Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. The website co-founder isn't on the trip with Williams in Australia, but he seems sorely missed by the tennis ace.

"I think I hate being by myself," Williams said. "As much as I always want to be alone, I don't think I like it so much. It's just been ... it's been long. I feel like I have been here for three months."

If Williams is struggling to adjust to being in Australia, she hasn't shown it. Most recently, she handed Maria Sharapova a 6-4, 6-1 decision to advance to the semifinals. One more win and she'll get to the finals where she can put the whole loneliness of the trip behind her with a win.

"When you win, you're obviously excited and happy and, when you lose, you're not excited," she said. "I think that's something that happens all across the spectrum in life, even outside of tennis."

Singles tennis is a lonely sport, yet it seems, Williams is at her best and most comfortable when she's all alone on the court, not off of it.
