Butterfinger announced it will offer to cover up to $50,000 in fines for NFL players who excessively celebrate in the final three games of the playoffs. The announcement didn’t come in your run-of-the-mill press release, though.
That job was saved for former NFL WR Terrell Owens and comedian Billy Eichner.

It should be noted that Newton is yet to be handed a fine for excessive celebration this season. Somehow, this only warranted a racially toned letter from a Tennessean mother.

The only two players left in the playoffs who have been fined for excessive celebration are Panthers CB Josh Norman and Broncos LB Von Miller, per Spotrac.

Funny how that works.
Either way, with someone else willing to sign the check, Miller, Newton, Norman and any other NFL player still standing will be encouraged to give the fans what they want … so long as they don’t get a 15-yard penalty for it.
No one can afford one of those with a berth to Super Bowl 50 on the line.
