Kobe Bryant Rehab Update: No 'Pain Or Soreness Whatsoever,' Could Play If Postseason Began Today [VIDEO]

Kobe Bryant insists if the playoffs were to start today he feels he's rehabbed well enough from his torn Achilles to suit up for Los Angeles Lakers.

Bryant, 35, told ProBasketballTalk.com that "I haven't had any pain or soreness whatsoever" and that he's very close to returning to practice on a no-limits imposed basis.

"It's kind of a flexibility thing, and getting the range of motion back--- feel like you can bed without having to lift the heel up," he said. "After months of the tendon being compressed, now you have to work to stretch it out a little bit."

Currently in China to play the Golden State Warriors in preseason, the Lakers open the regular season in 15 days against the Clippers, begging the question of if Bryant might be ready to play by then.

"I feel pretty damn good," Bryant told ProBasketballTalk of the prospect. "I'm going to get out today and try to move around on the court. I haven't pushed it pushed it, pushed it."

After losing Dwight Howard to Houston in free agency, the Lakers spent the summer signing wing players Xavier Henry, Jordan Farmer, Nick Young and Wesley Johnson. The team also inked journeyman Chris Kaman to a one-year deal to feel the void left by Howard's departure.
