Today at 1:00 p.m., the struggling Philadelphia Eagles (2-3) will square off with the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-4) in a battle of backup quarterbacks. The Eagles will likely be rolling with Nick Foles this week after Michael Vick pulled up lame on a scamper to the sidelines in Philly's win over the New York Giants. There's no guarantee Foles will be under center, but if he lights up Tampa Bay's tough secondary, there's no guarantee he will vacate the spot either.

"There's always open competition," Eagles coach Chip Kelly said. "So if Nick goes out there and throws 100 for 100 and throws 27 touchdown passes, then, yeah (he's the No. 1)."

Foles said he is working hard to make sure he comes back this week as sharp as he was against Big Blue. "My expectation is to work great (in practice), get a lot of work in, study the film, and whatever it is on Sunday, I'll be ready," Foles said.

In Tampa Bay, head coach Greg Schiano praised his rookie quarterback Mike Glennon, who will make his second career start today after Josh Freeman was released. "I thought he handled the operation of the game very well -- protections, reading plays out," Schiano said. "He had a couple of balls, I think, he'd like to have back at the end of the game."

The most intriguing matchup of this game will be the battle between Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson and Bucs cornerback Darrelle Revis. Revis hasn't responded to some fighting words Jackson launched earlier this week.

"I don't think he can run with me. I don't think he's as fast as me," Jackson said. That will play itself out come gametime.
