Green Bay Packers Rumors: Aaron Rodgers' Legacy Will Be In Question If He Loses To Kirk Cousins [VIDEO]

Forget advancing to the divisional round of the playoffs, Aaron Rodgers is fighting for his legacy on Sunday.

The Packers QB, now five years removed from his one and only Super Bowl crown, makes his fifth playoff appearance since 2010. He's an underwhelming 2-4 in that span, allowing many -- and by many we mean blithering idiots like Skip Bayless -- to question his greatness under center.

Brett Favre Was Minutes From An NFL Comeback

Never mind the fact that football is a collective effort, each disappointing playoff loss falls on Rodgers’ shoulders. Those are the depths NFL commentators have deteriorated to.

Mind you, even Tom Brady's legacy was being questioned ahead of Super Bowl XLIX and he won three of those things beforehand.

Olivia Munn To Blame For Aaron Rodgers’ Struggles

It doesn’t help that Rodgers is playing the Washington Racial Slurs on Sunday, either.

It’s one thing to lose Super Bowl champions like Eli Manning and Russell Wilson -- even losses to a functional Colin Kaepernick are forgivable -- but this is Kirk Cousins.

This is a former fourth-round pick making his playoff debut. This is a starting NFL QB who’s three games under .500 for his career (11-14) -- a guy whose biggest claim to fame is inanely screaming at reporters after he barely beat the 6-10 Buccaneers.

It’s a hit Rodgers’ resume can ill-afford to take.

For all the talk of Green Bay’s injuries or inability to block -- the Packers finished with the second most sacks allowed this season (46) -- it’s Rodgers’ play that will receive the most criticism should the Packers falter.

Fair or not -- and it's not -- that’s the landscape of today’s NFL.
