Katherine Webb-McCarron had a Bengals-themed baby shower to celebrate carrying her first child with quarterback AJ McCarron, but it's the Bengals who will be crying if her husband is under center on Sunday.
On Monday, a few friends from the team threw a party for the couple, who announced last month they were expecting a baby boy. Webb is five months along in her pregnancy, and she shared a photo of the happy celebration on Instagram.

The Bengals, however, may not be celebrating if McCarron is under center for their playoff game against the Steelers on Saturday, which is part of Wildcard Weekend. Incumbent starting quarterback Andy Dalton has been sidelined since a Dec. 13 meeting with those same Steelers, during which he broke his right thumb.
McCarron was thrust into that game and threw two touchdown passes and two interceptions as Cincinnati went on to lose, 33-20. Since then, McCarron has started three games for the Bengals, winning two of them and throwing for four scores with no picks.

Overall, the former Alabama quarterback has completed 66.4 percent of his passes this season for 854 yards with six touchdowns and two interceptions. Though he's played well enough, in a do-or-die game against a tough opponent, the Bengals would obviously rather Dalton at signal caller, despite the fact that he is 0-4 in his career in the playoffs.
Dalton completed 66.1 percent of his passes this season for 3,250 yards with 25 touchdowns and seven picks. Cincinnati hasn't ruled out the fifth-year quarterback for the game, and he made some progress when he had his cast taken off this week.
"We're preparing for AJ McCarron to be the starting quarterback," Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said, Tuesday, according to ESPN. "Whether Andy's the backup or where Andy is [later in the week], we'll know down the line. Andy continues to progress well. He's doing what he's supposed to do. ... He'll be ready when he's ready."
The Bengals can only hope Dalton is ready to suit up when they take on their AFC North rivals.
