It was a wild, up-and-down year for the WWE in 2015, but one thing's for certain: it will never be forgotten.

From shocking returns, to stunning title reigns, this year had plenty of memorable moments in it. A year that started with Brock Lesnar as WWE World Heavyweight Champion will likely conclude with Roman Reigns on top, if the Leader of the Roman Empire lasts the next week with the gold.

Paige Explains 'Weird Obsession' With Stone Cold

The WWE really took off at WrestleMania 31, but as the year progressed, things regressed with the company, with RAW reaching historic lows in ratings in December up until Reigns' big win.

Here are our award for the WWE in 2015.

Bray Wyatt May Win Royal Rumble Match

Feud Of The Year: Kevin Owens vs. John Cena

The most compelling angle of the year saw brash NXT Champion Kevin Owens make his main roster debut and stunningly defeat the face of the franchise at Elimination Chamber in May in what was a Match of the Year candidate. Cena would win their subsequent matches at Money in the Bank and Battleground, and each match was a classic. It was a tremendous way for Owens to immediately make an impact on the main roster.

Tag Team Of The Year: The New Day

It's not even a question. The trio of Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods may very well be the most compelling part of WWE storylines right now. There's no question that when the group comes out with microphones in hand, they're about to be entertaining. All three of them can hold their own in the ring as well and their heel personas and win by any means necessary outlook are amazing.

Pay-Per-View Of The Year: WrestleMania 31

This year's edition of the "Show of Shows" was easily the best event of the year. From the entertaining Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match to Sting making his WWE in-ring debut against Triple H to John Cena winning the United States Championship, this event had something for everyone. Capping it off, Seth Rollins' shocking WWE World Heavyweight Championship win will never be forgotten.

Match Of The Year: Bayley vs. Sasha Banks at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn

There are plenty of great ones to choose from (see honorable mentions below), but the match between Bayley and Banks put the Divas on the map, even if it was technically an NXT bout. Bayley's storyline of finally overcoming everything to win the big one proved that this day and age there can still be great angles in wrestling. It was a five-star caliber match and an instant classic.

Honorable Mentions: Seth Rollins vs. John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar (Royal Rumble); Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar (Hell in a Cell) and John Cena vs. Kevin Owens (Elimination Chamber).

Diva Of The Year: Sasha Banks

"The Boss" hasn't gotten a chance to spread her wings yet on the main roster, but her final impression in NXT was amazing. Her match with Bayley at Takeover: Brooklyn and the subsequent rematch at Takeover: Respect in which the Divas made history in the first ever Iron Woman Match will never be forgotten. "The Boss" has a great look, character and in-ring work, so the future is bright even if her Team B.A.D. stable hasn't been given full reign just yet.

Honorable Mentions: Nikki Bella and Bayley.

Superstar Of The Year: Seth Rollins

"The Architect" fully blossomed in 2015, which was his banner year. Rollins showed he had what it takes in the Rumble triple threat match and then shocked the world by cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase to win the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. Though the booking somewhat undercut him, anytime Rollins got in the ring he gave it his all and put on a great match. It's unfortunate he suffered an untimely injury, but when he returns he'll rightfully find his place back atop the WWE mountain.

Honorable Mention: John Cena.
