WWE News 2015: ‘Dynamite Kid’ Hospitalized [VIDEO]

The "Dynamite Kid"’ is someone who WWE fanatics may rarely know at this time. During his prime however, he partnered with cousin Davey Boy Smith during the 1980s to form one of the successful and deadliest tag teams ever remembered.

Nothing much has been heard regarding the Dynamite Kid a.k.a. Tom Billington until now. The latest report coming from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reveals that Billington suffered a stroke recently and is in pretty bad shape.

Billington has reportedly been in the hospital for the past six weeks, per WON where the only bright spot so far is his improved speech. Physically his condition has worsened.

Billing, 57, was last seen in the then-WWF scene back in 1988. He had his share of ups and downs in the four years he was a part of the company and was known as one of the toughest wrestlers at the time.

The only memorable highlight for the Dynamite Kid was perhaps the time that he and Davey Boy Smith won the WWF Tag Team Championships from the tandem of Greg “The Hammer” Valentine and Brutus Beefcake at WrestleMania 2.

His last appearance was at the 1988 Survivor Series after he and Smith were eliminated when the Dynamite Kid was pinned by Smash of “Demolition”.

Billington’s latest stroke episode is however not the first. Back in 2013, he was reportedly hospitalized for a stroke as well, though it is believed that he had encountered it more than once.
