Tyson Fury has held the heavyweight boxing titles for just about a week now but has lost one without even stepping into the ring again.
The title that was stripped from Fury was the IBF title, but not because of the ruckus he's caused lately stemming from sexist remarks. Rather, this had to something to do, oddly, with his decision to have an immediate rematch over Wladimir Klitschko.

While the rematch was something that hardly comes as a surprise, it is the priority and timing that comes into focus.
As far as the IBF is concerned, Fury should be facing mandatory challenger Vyacheslav Glazkov first rather then Klitschko. With that said, the IBF had no choice but to take the title away.

"It's true he's been stripped of his IBF belt," IBF chairman Lindsey Tucker said to BBC. "Our challenger was Vyacheslav Glazkov, but instead Fury's gone and signed a re-match clause with Wladimir Klitschko."
This somehow clears up the air for the 27-year-old fighter who has been in a lot of heat recently. A lot of the criticism cropped up when he recently made remarks tied up with homosexuality and abortion via the Daily Mail.
Other than that, Fury was seen on video making sexist remarks at co-nominee for BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year award (SPOTY).
"That's the runner, isn't it? I think she's good, she's won quite a few medals for Britain, she slaps up good as well, when she's got a dress on she looks quite fit.”
Fury has been known to be a showman and someone who is not afraid to speak his mind. But these latest remarks seem to have drawn the line. He has remained firm on his stance and is unapologetic despite his rants. Right now, it remains to be seen if Fury will face sanctions at the hands of the British Boxing Board of Control for his no-holds barred comments and tirades.
The board is scheduled to convene Wednesday in Cardiff, as reported by The Telegraph.
