Los Angeles Lakers News: Julius Randle Questionable Against Trail Blazers [VIDEO]

The woes of the Lakers continue with possibly sophomore Julius Randle sitting out the beleaguered team’s match against the Trail Blazers.

Randle, who is coming off a fine showing Friday despite losing to the Raptors, is reportedly dealing with a sore big toe. Right now, he is listed as probable for the match. But assuming he does suit up, he may have to deal with a handicap since the minor injury could hamper his mobility.

If Randle does get bothered by the injury, head coach Byron Scott may have to dig deep and call someone from the Lakers bench as mentioned by the Lake Show Life.

Ryan Kelly and Tarik Black could be seeing longer minutes if Randle is not up to the task, facing the formidable Portland quintet for a Trail Blazers team that is looking for its sixth victory in 15 games. The Lakers are currently 2-10 and are just a half-game ahead of the cellar-dwelling and injury-plagued Pelicans (2-11).

The setback adds to the growing list of problems the Lakers have had to face as they continue to struggle in the current season.

Kobe Bryant will likely be tasked to play additional minutes and hope that Jordan Clarkson and rookie D’Angelo Russell are able to come up with the same aggressiveness and energy they had against the Raptors.

Clarkson and Russell will be put to another test as they try to deal with the duo of Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum. It will be another day in school for both as singled out by the LA Times.
