Floyd "Money" Mayweather is on top of the world, having raked in $41 million before pay per view cuts to demolish Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and prove why he's currently the best fighter in the world.
Mayweather lives and trains in Las Vegas, the betting capital of the world, and Floyd's never been shy about placing his bets. Mayweather reportedly cashed in on Texas A&M covering a 17.5-point first half spread against Southern Methodist.
The Aggies went to the locker room after the first half up 32-6, prompting Mayweather to tweet his thanks to their controversial quarterback. "Congratulations @JManziel2 for putting on a fantastic show. He may not be able to make money off himself but I can. pic.twitter.com/Tp3sKyznkq"

Mayweather was clearly poking fun at Manziel's preseason run-in with the NCAA regarding personal profit off of autographs, which violates the NCAA's rules preserving amateurism. Manziel was cleared in the fiasco, but A&M suspended him for the first half of their season opener.
Mayweather is planning on betting on Johnny Football again this week, and upping the ante. When asked why he's willing to plunk down $300,000 on the Aggies to defeat the Arkansas Razorbacks, Mayweather responded "Johnny Football never has an off day."
Mayweather seems to never have an off day either, putting forth perhaps the finest performance of his career against Canelo Alvarez despite giving up 16 pounds to his challenger, and entering the ring more than a decade older than him.
His destruction of the top challenger remotely close to his weight class has left a crater in the boxing universe. At the moment, there does not seem to be any challenger with a prayer of stepping in the ring with Mayweather and toppling the pound-for-pound champ.
Floyd has dismissed Manny Pacquiao as a "has been," and the frontrunner seems to be flawed Brit Amir Khan, who must emerge victorious against Devon Alexander, a talented fighter in his own right. After decimating several larger, heavy-handed opponents, Showtime executives believe the fast hands and accuracy of Khan could present a different and more credible threat.
