Joe McKnight Arrest Warrant: Former Jets RB Has Failure To Appear In Court Warrant [VIDEO]

The bad news and legal trouble just keeps piling up for former New York Jets running back and kick returner Joe McKnight. The New York Daily News reported Wednesday that the free agent running back has a warrant out for his arrest stemming from his failure to appear in court on Monday. The warrant was announced in accordance to the Hanover Municipal Court in New Jersey.

McKnight was arrested on July 30 also for a failure to appear in court when he was pulled over for driving an uninsured vehicle and for failure to signal before changing lanes. The officer that pulled him over discovered that he actually had two bench warrants out for him for failure to pay traffic fines and for not appearing in court.

The Jets released McKnight on Aug. 26 after a trying training camp for the much maligned 25-year-old.

McKnight had an eventful training camp both on and off the field for the Jets leading to his release. First, he showed up to training camp out of shape and failed a conditioning test. McKnight eventually passed it, then suffered a head injury and dehydration which kept him off the field for training camp.

Following those setbacks, it was reported that McKnight had his car impounded due to his failure to pay traffic tickets and that he had to pay $320 to cover the expense of the whole ordeal. The worst was yet to come for McKnight as he suffered a health scare at practice and collapsed on the field. After receiving help from the team's trainer, he engaged in a Twitter war with a person he believed to be a reporter and asked if they were outside, seemingly as if to start an altercation with them just moments after he collapsed.

McKnight was soon releaased.

Over a three-year period with the Jets stemming back to 2010, McKnight rushed for 502 yards in 112 attempts. McKnight is now a free agent, but it would take a really bold team to roll the dice on him after all the trouble he's been into on and off the field over the last few months.
