Minnesota Vikings News: Adrian Peterson To Play Against Detroit Lions Despite Injury [VIDEO]

According to Media Insider Ian Rapoport (via the official NFL website), Adrian Peterson had been listed as questionable with an illness, which was a finger injury. The publication said that while he had the said injury, Peterson had been limited in the team practice on Oct. 22 and 23.

While the Vikings' running back seemed to be in his optimal condition and had appeared capable to play on Oct. 24, Peterson had been enlisted to questionable on Oct. 25. Peterson had averaged 107.1 rushing yards in every game in his career versus the Lions. The Vikings' superstar had completed 134 rushing yards on 29 carries, along with his total 192 scrimmage yards in the second week

If Peterson's condition persisted and kept him from playing, Matt Asiata and Jerick McKinnon would be set to enter the field. The two had had 104 yards rushing for this season, according to Sports Illustrated.

Aside from Peterson, Vikings' roster also includes quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and Taylor Heinicke; wide receivers Charles Johnson, Cordarrelle Patterson, and Mike Wallace; cornerback Josh Robinson and Trae Waynes; linebacker Eric Kendricks and Anthony Barr; tight end Kyle Rudolph; center John Sullivan; and safety Harrison Smith, among others.
