Top 5: The Most Successful Sports Agents Today [VIDEO]

Professional athletes, especially those who are very successful, owe a huge portion of their success to their sports agents. These are the individuals behind athletes' success -- stories that are worth writing about.

They are keen individuals who give their blood, sweat and tears into making sports stars who they are today. They have years of experience in their respective fields, especially in dealing with contracts during negotiations. Who are they? Below are the top five of the most successful sports agents today, according to Business Insider.

Tristan Thompson Signs Five-Year, $82 Million Contract With Cleveland

Coming in the fifth spot, Rob Pelinka. He is from Landmark Sports Agency. The same agency who signed Kobe Bryant to the Lakers for a fat $83.5 million dollars. Pelinka has a law and business degree from Michigan.

Arn Tellem is in the fourth spot from WMG Management. Another Michigan alum with a degree in law, his biggest deal is with Joe Johnson which was a $124 million contract with the Hawks.

Next up on the third spot is Tom Condon of CAA. A former NFL player himself, then and now, he is the president of the NFL Players Association. He also has a law degree. Condon's biggest deal as of late is with Peyton Manning to the Colts for $99.2 million.

The second spot is Fernando Cuza, who is the most unique of them all. Despite not having a law degree, he is the best person there is to get the most outstanding players in Latin America. Cuza signed a huge deal for Miguel Cabrera for $152 million to play for the Tigers.

Scott Boras is on the top spot with an exemplary record. He negotiated the deal with Alex Rodriguez and Mark Teixeira to the Yankees with an astounding $275 million and $180 million, respectively. Boras also has a law degree from McGeorge College of Law.
