A Boston grand jury has subpoenaed two men to testify Thursday in an ongoing investigation in hopes to discover if former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is linked to a double homicide in Boston last year that went unsolved.

CNN reports that Alexander Bradley and John Alcorn Jr. were ordered to answer questions involving the double homicide, which involved a drive-by shooting in July of 2012 that led to the deaths of Daniel Abreu, 29, and Safiro Furtado, 28 outside of a Boston nightclub.

Hernandez, who is no stranger to legal trouble as he's embroiled in the case of the murder of Boston semi-professional football player Odin Lloyd, has pleaded not guilty to the charges. Hernandez was indicted last month:

According to CNN, Bradley was supposed to appear before Superior Court Judge Joan Alexander Tuesday in Hartford, CT to answer the subpoena, but he never showed up and a warrant for his arrest due to a failure to appear in court was issued. Bradley's lawyer, who according to CNN is based out of New York, David Jaroslawicz, told CNN that he wasn't aware of the warrant and declined to comment on whether or not he spoke to his client about the subpoena.

Reports indicate that Bradley filed a civil suit against Hernandez alleging that the ex-football player shot him in the face after they visited a strip club earlier this year in Miami and it caused Bradley to lose his sense of sight in one eye. In July, Bradley appeared before a grand jury in Fall River, Mass. to testify in the Lloyd case that later indicted Hernandez in the murder of Lloyd on June 17.

Alcorn, 21, lives in Hernandez's hometown of Bristol, CT, came into the Hernandez case after his friend Jailene Diaz said that a gun that police found in her car following a crash belonged to Alcorn and his friends, according to CNN.

CNN reports that police said the .38-caliber handgun was identified as the murder weapon in the unsolved double homicide case in Boston through ballistics tests.

According to CNN, Hernandez's lawyers have asked a federal judge in Miami to delay Bradley's civil lawsuit pending the decision on the murder case of Odin Lloyd.
