Lamar Odom Update: Kobe Bryant -- How Dare Master P Question His Hospital Visit To Lamar Odom [VIDEO]

Critics have called Kobe Bryant a lot of things during his NBA career. But don't call him phony.

The Lakers' star shooting guard-turned small forward, had a response to rapper Master P, a longtime friend of Lamar Odom, who called out the Black Mamba and the Kardashians for using Odom's tragedy to make themselves look better.

Odom is in a coma after being found unconscious Wednesday morning at a Nevada brothel. Bryant and Odom's estranged in-laws -- he was married to Khloe Kardashian, and reports have conflicted on whether their divorce is final -- all went to visit Odom in the hospital.

Master P called out Bryant and the Kardashians for being phony in their apparent concern for Odom, TMZ Sports originally reported.

Kobe came back strong at Master P in a tweet, according to another TMZ Sports report.

"When WE feel the need to question the support of others in moments as critical as a life hanging in the balance, then we must question the kind of culture we have created that has led US to such insensitive suspicion," Bryant tweeted.

Master P's beef with Bryant is that he believes Bryant could've coerced Lakers management to reacquire Odom, the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year with Los Angeles in 2011 whom the Lakers traded a year later.

"If Kobe was his friend ... Kobe, like, owns the team," Master P told TMZ. "He could've got the man back on the team ... that's all he wanted. If you look at it, (Odom's) biggest problem was where (are) the people at that he showed love to, because he had a big heart."

Master P also was asked whether he thought the visits by Bryant and the Kardashians were publicity stunts.

"It looks like it," he said.

At least Odom has many people pulling for him -- publicly or otherwise.
