A man was shot in the torso outside of the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Fla., on Monday after trespassing onto the scene and charging at police.
The man, whose identity has yet to be released, is in critical condition in the hospital after the altercation, according to Wrestilngheadlines.com.

Police responded to a call at around 1:30 p.m. ET and were told a man trespassed onto the property of the WWE Performance Center and was carrying a knife. Corporal Steve Wall and Deputy Dave Richardson were the first two officers to arrive and after five police officers issued several warnings to the man, he charged at them.
Wall, feeling his life was in danger, shot at the man, striking him in the torso. He was then taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

According to the report, the man was arrested and banned from the area a few weeks ago and the police have encountered him on multiple occasions in the last month. The man was reportedly obsessed with a female WWE talent, but he is not a wrestler and is not affiliated with anyone who worked at the Performance Center.
The man's identity hasn't been released until his family could be notified and he was still in surgery as of 4 p.m. ET. The person in question has a previous arrest record for violence, robbery and battery on an officer.
WWE executive Triple H offered the following statement on Monday's events:
"Unfortunately a deranged individual with no WWE affiliation, who had a court order prohibiting him from being on WWE property, was involved in an incident with an Orange County Sherriff's deputy in the parking lot of the WWE Performance Center. We defer to the Orange County Sherriff's department for further comment and information."
