Baltimore has picked up right where it left off after defeating the San Francisco 49ers in last year's Super Bowl, and has looked good in their first two preseason wins over Tampa Bay and Atlanta. Carolina, meanwhile, will hope to find some offensive rhythm coming off of a loss at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles by a score of 14-9 last week.

Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco will cross paths with Panther's quarterback Cam Newton in a preseason where the two are going through very different experiences. Flacco has gone 14-for-18 on pass attempts for 175 yards while Newton has missed more than double the amount of times he's connected, going just 11-for-23 for 128 yards through the first two games.

Flacco, entering his sixth year with Baltimore, went 317-for-531 for 3,817 yards with 22 touchdowns and 10 interceptions last season. Newton, in his second year with Carolina, went 280-for-485 for 3,869 yards with 19 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in last year's campaign.

With the third preseason game being the second-to-last tune-up before the season opens, both quarterbacks figure to receive extended playing time.

Newton and the Panthers, which haven't scored a touchdown in the offense's last six quarters, couldn't build on a 24-17 preseason opening win over the Chicago Bears last week against Philadelphia, and Newton went just 8-for-17 for 112 yards as the offense went cold. Carolina couldn't establish a running game either, as running back DeAngelo Williams gained just 39 yards on 12 attempts.

In 16 games last season, Williams rushed for 737 yards on 173 attempts for five touchdowns.

The Ravens, with some new faces, are looking very strong to start the preseason. Torrey Smith has taken over as the No. 1 wide out, and caught two passes for 85 yards and a touchdown against Atlanta last week. Smith had 49 receptions for 855 yards and eight touchdowns last season in his second year with Baltimore. It'll be interesting to see if cornerback Jimmy Smith can turn it around after having a difficult game against Atlanta last week.

Flacco led his team to a Super Bowl last year and looks to repeat this year while Newton, recently ranked the 100th best offensive player in the NFL by ESPN, is looking to cure his offensive woes in a preseason match-up tonight.
