The Eagles will be one of the preseason's most fascinating teams thanks to the multiple quarterback battles going on. Sam Bradford is the presumed Week 1 starter; he has taken the majority of first team reps in training camp, and is being held out of today's game. Mark Sanchez, the clear No. 2 option, will start but head coach Chip Kelly said he will not play many snaps.

Mark Sanchez Will Start, "Won't Play Very Much"

This Week 1 preseason matchup will be heavy on Tim Tebow and Matt Barkley, the two players battling for the No. 3 QB spot. Because of Bradford's lengthy injury history, the Eagles' No. 3 QB figures to be an important position. So far in camp there are reports that Tebow, who has been out of the NFL since 2012, may have a leg up on Barkley.

Tebow is known for his rushing skills and not his ability to throw the ball accurately. Offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur said the preseason will be a crucial proving ground to showcase that athleticism.

Matt Barkley's Been Losing Reps To Tim Tebow

"[In practice] I can see Tim zone reading something, pulling it, and then the whistle sort of gets blown here and he might run a guy over [if the whistle wasn't blown], so you never know," Shurmur said, according to CSNPhilly.com.

"So that kind of uncontrolled-type stuff. We could run a naked [boot] and [see him] get out on the perimeter [with] a guy hanging off him and making a throw. You know, all that type of stuff that you say, 'Wow, that was really a terrific, athletic play.' That kind of stuff."

Barkley does not have that ability to run, and for all of the knocks on Tebow's passing, Barkley has four interceptions against zero touchdowns in his brief NFL experience.
