Aaron Hernandez Murder Case Getting Stronger? Police Find Gun Used In 2012 Double Homicide In Boston With Connections To Former Patriots Tight End

A high-profile murder weapon has been found in Boston, but it is not the one used to kill 27-year-old semipro football player Odin Lloyd. Massachusetts police have found the gun used in a 2012 double homicide that has been linked to former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, that may have played a role in Lloyd's slaying as well.

In the immediate aftermath of Lloyd's murder, reports surfaced that Hernandez did not like a group of people he saw Lloyd talking with and killed him in retribution. Now, however, some authorities believe Hernandez was behind the 2012 twin killing, and Lloyd had information about his involvement.

Hernandez is suspected of feeling threatened by Lloyd and his knowledge of Hernandez's role, which resulted in his death. Now, they have the gun used in those murders.

A .38 caliber Smith and Wesson was found in a car that was involved in a June 21st crash on Interstate 91 in Springfield, Massachusetts. The car belongs to Jaileen Diaz-Ramos of Bristol, Connecticut, the same city where police searched a lake for the gun used to kill Lloyd.

When questioned about the gun found in her car, Diaz-Ramos said the gun wasn't hers and belonged to a football player who went by the name of "Chicago." She said that "Chicago" and his associates left it with her because they did not want to be in possession of it.

Hernandez was involved in an altercation on June 16th of 2012 with several men in a nightclub called Cure. Daniel Abreu and Safiro Furtado, two of the men Hernandez scuffled with later left the club and were shot to death while they waited at a red light.

The drive-by shooting was perpetrated by shooters in an SUV with Rhode Island license plates; police believe a car recently towed from the home of one of Hernandez's uncles was the vehicle used in that shooting.
