Today at 1:10 p.m. ET, the Pittsburgh Pirates (58-41) and Minnesota Twins (52-47) close out a two-game set live from Target Field in Minnesota.

Pittsburgh continues a six-game road trip in search of its second straight victory while Minnesota looks to halt a three-match skid as it resumes a nine-game homestand.

The Pirates took the series-opener from the Twins 8-7 on Tuesday and will look for a two-game sweep.

Jung Ho Kang hit the deciding homer for Pittsburgh in Monday's game in the top of the ninth inning. The solo shot was his sixth of the season.

Gregory Polanco had three RBI in the win while Neil Walker chipped in two. The Pirates lead the majors with 12 interleague wins this season.

Aaron Hicks drove in three of Minnesota's seven runs in the loss.

Francisco Liriano (6-6, 2.91 ERA) takes the mound for the Pirates while the Twins counter with Ervin Santana and he is 2-0 with a 2.60 ERA thus far this season.

Liriano is 5-2 with a 2.10 ERA in his last 11 starts, but he had a rough outing against Minnesota, his former team, last time he faced them. Liriano yielded seven runs in two innings in that contest.

Santana, meanwhile, is coming in off of a stellar performance against the Los Angeles Angels, where he hurled eight shutout innings.

Santana faces a Pirates lineup that has plenty of star power, including Andrew McCutchen, who is batting .288 with 13 homers and a team-best 61 RBI.

The Twins counter with a lineup that is paced by second baseman Brian Dozier, who is tied for second in the American League with 72 runs and fourth with 27 doubles. Dozier also leads the team with 21 round-trippers and is tied atop the club's stat sheet with 55 RBI.

In the standings, the Pittsburgh enters with a 3.5-game lead atop the wild-card race and is just 5.5 games behind the St. Louis Cardinals in the NL Central while Minnesota is nine games behind the Kansas City Royals in the AL Central and owns a share of a wild-card position.

The Pirates and Twins close out an interleague series live from Target Field in Minnesota.
