WWE 'NXT Takeover: Brooklyn' Rumors: Triple H Announces 'SummerSlam' Eve Show [VIDEO]

NXT is set to invade The Big Apple on the eve of the Biggest Party of the Summer.

Triple H announced on Friday that NXT Takeover: Brooklyn will emanate live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Aug. 22, the night before SummerSlam.

The WWE brings SummerSlam to Brooklyn for the very first time on Sunday, Aug. 23 and it will mark the first time since 1998 that the WWE comes to New York City and the first time since 2002 that it comes to New York in general.

Triple H took to Twitter to reveal that the next Takeover event will air live from the Barclays Center the night before, which means the venue will host big WWE events on back-to-back nights:

Tickets will be on sale for the event on July 18 and the WWE released a statement on top of Triple H's announcement to coincide with the revealing of the event and also announced that it will air live on the WWE Network:

"The Superstars and Divas of Tomorrow have set the wrestling world on fire with the NXT TakeOver live specials on WWE Network, which have all emanated from Full Sail University in Florida - until now," the statement reads. "As announced by WWE COO Triple H, on Saturday, Aug. 22, NXT will invade the Barclays Center on the eve of The Biggest Party of The Summer for the seventh NXT live special."

It's unknown who exactly will be a part of the show, but the NXT stars will be on full display in Brooklyn for the very first time as SummerSlam weekend and The Biggest Party of the Summer just got even hotter.
