Former Dallas Mavericks Dancer Goes On Killing Spree, Murders Four Using Guns, Grenade

A former member of the Dallas Mavericks all-male, hefty dance team the Maniaacs, Erbie "E-Luv" Bowser, has shocked the city of Dallas by going on a rampage involving guns and a grenade that left four dead, according to reports. Bowser previously served in the U.S. Army.

At about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night, Bowser entered the apartment of an ex-girlfriend and started shooting, killing two people and injuring a third.

After that, he drove to the home of his ex-wife, in DeSoto, Texas, and tossed a grenade into the house. He waited for the explosive to go off, then went into the home and emptied his cache of ammunition leaving two more dead and another two hurt.

Police arrived at the scene, where Bowser was pretending to be a victim of the heinous attack. Authorities quickly realized he was uninjured, and he was arrested. Two of the murdered victims have been identified as 43-year-old Toya Smith, and her 17-year-old daughter Tasmia Allen. Two boys, aged 13 and 11, survived the second shooting.

A neighbor of those living in the DeSoto home, Tommy Johnson, described the scene:

"We thought it was coming from upstairs, because the kids are always upstairs making noise," Johnson said. "I went up and asked, 'Did y'all hear anything?' and one of my daughters said it came from outside. So I peeped out the front and that's when I saw a bunch of officers walking down the sidewalk and about 10 houses up."

According to The Dallas Observer, the house that had the grenade thrown in it belonged to Zina Till, who filed for divorce from Bowser in 2011. Two weeks after that, a judge granted Till a protective order on the grounds that "family violence has occurred and is likely to occur in the future." The judge also ordered Bowser to get his wife's wedding ring and a tennis bracelet from a pawn shop, but he did not comply.

Additionally, Bowser had legal charges lodged against him previously for violating a protective order and evading arrest.
