Terrence Howard Claims Ex-wife Threatened To Kill Him And Family, Set For Court Appearance

Terrence Howard claims his ex-wife threatened to kill him and his family after an argument broke out during their Costa Rican vacation last week, according to TMZ.

In refuting Michelle Ghent’s allegations that he attacked and assaulted her, Howard also claims his ex-wife pepper sprayed him, his kids and his son-in-law during a “normal married fight.” He adds he never touched her and only told her to stop as he sought to retreat.

Ghent is expected in family court later today where attorneys for her said she will seek to take out a restraining order against the Hustle & Flow starring actor.

TMZ also reports that during today’s proceedings, attorneys for Howard are expected to present the judge with an assortment of text messages in which an angry Ghent’s writes such things as “I would start hiding if I were u.” In another text, she reportedly writes “Be careful when you leave your place. U should move.” In another, she pens “I know where u and ur family live. Watch yourself.”

All the messages are reported to have been sent last May, including another which read “You need to be out down once and for all. I will not stop until all knows who u are."

According to TMZ, Howard also told police Ghent attempted to commit suicide just two months ago, leading to her being hospitalized and diagnosed with paranoia.
