Two nations chasing World Cup glory will do battle today in a match between Costa Rica and Brazil. The World Cup match scheduled for 7 p.m. ET will be held at Moncton Stadium in Moncton and can be live streamed here free. Additional TV coverage can be found on Fox Sports 1.
What They're Saying
Costa Rica head coach Amelia Valverde (via FIFA): "We're very proud of them. At the end of the day, aside from the technical side of things and the tactical changes that we made, the players gave their all, and it was that fundamental aspect that got us the result [against Korea Republic]."
Brazil head coach Vadao (via FIFA): "We won [against Spain] due to the perseverance of Andressa Alves, who showed great belief when she scored the goal that won us the match, and more importantly, qualified us for the next round. That will allow us to approach the last game a bit more serenely, and make a few changes."
Tactical Preview
Player to Watch: Melissa Herrera has been responsible for two of Costa Rica's three goals thus far this tournament. The 18-year-old is one of the many players on the women's team that doesn't play professionally. That, however, hasn't been enough to keep her from making an impact on the pitch. She'll look to do so again on Wednesday.
Brazil's Projected Lineup (4-3-3): Luciana; Tamires, Rafaelle, Monica, Poliana; Formiga, Darlene, Andressa; Marta, Cristiane, Alves
Costa Rica's Projected Lineup (4-2-3-1): Diaz; Rodriguez, Acosta, Sanchez, Saenz; Alvarado, Cruz; Barrantes, Rodriguez, Herrera; Granados
