Apparently disgraced former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez has a pen pal. A letter Hernandez wrote to a friend on the outside has gotten into the hands of the media, and is now making the rounds despite his request within the letter for his words to be kept off of social media.

Hernandez, in prison on first-degree murder charges stemming from the shooting death of "associate" Odin Lloyd, refers to the recipient of his letter as a friend and frequently references a dedication to God.

He begins his letter by writing:

"I know everything happens for a reason and I know 'GOD' has a plan for me and something good will come out of this. The world just makes things out of false accusations and it will all die down especially when they say NOT Guilty and all the people who turned on me will feel like crap."

While the court of public opinion seems to have already deemed Hernandez guilty as charged, and circumstantial evidence is reportedly stacked to the ceiling against the ex-NFLer, Hernandez professes confidence that he'll be exonerated.

"I can't wait to sign this again when I'm playing again an prove all the haters an da talkers WRONG."

In the middle of the letter he makes a second reference to his devotion to God. "I know there is a reason I'm going thru this and I will figure it out through my relationship with the Lord. I fell off especially after making all that money but when it's all said and done "GOD" put me in the situation for a reason!"

He concluded the correspondence by saying to his friend, "P.S. the pictures are definitely hanging on my walls and def meant alot! Thanks again brotha!

*Keep this off social media PLEASE!"

Hernandez's claims of evidence surface against a backdrop of teams of divers combing a Connecticut lake for days on end in search of a .45 Caliber glock believed to be the murder weapon. Pictures of Hernandez holding a weapon in his home minutes after Lloyd is believed to have been killed have been submitted as evidence.
