What They're Saying
Scotland manager Gordon Strachan (via BBC): "They have to be sensible, but when you let players go and enjoy a game, then you never know. It's only common sense that if you see something coming that you might get out of the way. I had a radar on me that I could see a tackle coming a mile away. I just hope the players have got the same radar. I think the lads will give everything in terms of physical ability, but I really don't want to see people clattering into each other. They [Qatar] will go for things. I don't think I can say to Scott Brown don't tackle somebody."
Scotland midfielder Charlie Adam (via Express): "I am happier scoring a six-yarder than one from 60 or 70 yards. Just scoring any goal gives you a great feeling as a player. Fortunately enough for me, it happened against one of the best teams in the country on Sky and that was why there was such big media attention."
Tactical Preview
Player to Watch: Adam enjoyed a modicum of success with Stoke City this campaign. In 15 starts, the 29-year-old finished with seven goals and an average of 1.1 key passes.
Scotland's Projected Lineup (4-4-2): Samson; Martin, Reynolds, Berra, Robertson; Anya, Fletcher, Brown, Ritchie; Fletcher, Griffiths
Qatar's Projected Lineup (4-4-2): Burhan; Majid, Khoukhi, Ali, Hatem; Boudiaf, Muftah, Kangambu, Khalid, Muntari; Assadalla
