What They're Saying
Mexico head coach Miguel Herrera (via Medio Tiempo): "I've never talked about an A selection or a B selection. This team is put together to reach the [Copa America] final. We'll give a few teams a scare and, while we'll face tough opponents, we'll be a different team than we were in the last edition. Raul [Jimenez] has had a tough time. He's young, but he's grown a lot and he finished [the season] fairly well. [Manager Diego] Simeone told us that it is likely he'll continue at Atletico Madrid."
Guatemala head coach Ivan Franco Sopegno (via El Periodico): "I've said these games can be very dangerous since the beginning. Our main focus is the qualifier against Bermudas and that's what we have on our mind, but I want to give these players experience that they won't receive at the club level. History shows that nothing is impossible in football. Mexico's ability is superior to ours, but we have faith, ability and the desire to win."
Tactical Preview
Player to Watch: Jimenez's tough time at Atletico Madrid is highlighted by his four starts and 574 combined minutes of play all season. In them, however, the 24-year-old finished with one goal and two assists.
