Kevin Love Free Agency: Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers Possible?

The Cleveland Cavaliers swept the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference Finals to reach the NBA Finals for just the second time in franchise history. The team will be an underdog to the Golden State Warriors, which is likely the result of injuries to Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving (though Irving is still able to play).

Mark Wahlberg Pushing Jimmy Butler Toward Boston?

According to Sheridan Hoops Blog via Adrian Wojnarowski, the on-court success for Cleveland this year is still no guarantee that Love will want to stick around beyond this season. Much has been made of the fact that Love can opt out of his deal and test free agency, and it sounds like that is his plan.

"He's got options," Wojnarowski said on a recent radio appearance. "He could stay another year [by not opting out] and go into free agency next year. But he's had injuries, and he might just want to sign a four-year deal somewhere else."

Paul Pierce Responsible For LeBron Becoming The Best?

Love has missed most of the postseason after suffering a dislocated shoulder during a hard foul by Boston's Kelly Olynyk during the first round of the playoffs.

"I think he's going to look around," Wojnarowski said. "I think he's going to look closely at Boston. I think he'll look at LA. I'm sure the Texas teams are going to try and get involved.

"If you remember, he really liked Kevin McHale in Minnesota," Wojnarowski continued. "Would he fit potentially in Houston? It seems like every summer, they have the ability to go out and create a max slot, and they do this summer again. They know they have the option to do that.

"I think he'll be in play. He could stay where he is, but there's no question he's going to look long and hard at what his options are."
