Greg Jennings, Aaron Rodgers Feud: Vikings Coach Leslie Frazier Tells Wide Receiver To Quit Talking About Packers QB, Ex Teammate

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Greg Jennings has publicly insulted former teammate and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. However Saturday his barbs struck a chord with his new head coach.

Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier told Jennings to stop taking shots at Rodgers and to focus in on his own team.

"We're the Vikings and we want to talk about us, what we're trying to get done," Frazier told The Pioneer Press on Saturday. "That's where our focus has to be. There's so much work to be done, and we don't want to be looking at what's happening with other teams, other teams' players. We've got to focus on us. He's good with that."

Jennings was openly critical of Rodgers recently and had some less-than-flattering things to say about his former teammate.

"A lot of times when you have a guy who creates that spotlight for himself and establishes that and takes a lot of that, it becomes so-and-so and the team," Jennings said of Rodgers to the Star Tribune on Thursday. "It should always be the team."

Frazier is hoping that Jennings, who played with the Packers since 2006 before agreeing to a five-year $47.5 million deal with the Vikings this offseason, will stop talking about his past with the Packers and focus on his current team

While Frazier was upset with the comments, Rodgers was able to shake them off.

I've seen a lot and been around a lot and learned a lot of lessons," the Packers quarterback told NFL.com. "One of the lessons you learn, you can't control everything and you shouldn't worry too much about the things that are said outside the building. You're worried about the opinions of your teammates and how they feel about you."

Jennings had 36 receptions for 366 yards playing with Rodgers in 2012, and scored four touchdowns in eight games.  The Vikings are hopeful that Jennings will have a productive year with quarterback Christian Ponder this season and that he'll stop talking about the past.
