Aaron Hernandez Gun [PHOTO]: New Evidence Released In Odin Lloyd Murder Case Shows Former Patriots Tight End With Glock In Hand, Believed To Be Murder Weapon

As Aaron Hernandez sits in solitary confinement in a Massachusetts, new evidence has been released that further incriminates the former NFL star in the murder of onetime associate Odin Lloyd.

Photos have been released to the public of Hernandez in his North Attleborough home, holding a weapon. The weapon in Hernandez's hand, which he is seen carrying before leaving his home and minutes after returning hours later, is believed to be the weapon used to kill Lloyd.

In all there are four photos of Hernandez with the gun, and prosecutors say one of the photos was time stamped 10-15 minutes after Lloyd was murdered. The footage and photos may explain why Hernandez allegedly destroyed the surveillance system in his home while police were in the process of questioning him.

Hernandez was set for a probable cause hearing earlier this week, but that hearing was delayed until August after prosecutors requested more time for fact gathering. According to reports, prosecutors are working toward pinning a 2012 double murder on Hernandez in addition to the killing of Lloyd.

Some in law enforcement believe that Lloyd had information about Hernandez's involvement in the 2012 slayings, and was killed so that he could be silenced.

Hernandez and two other men, Carlos Ortiz and Ernest Wallace Jr., are accused of picking up Lloyd, driving him to an industrial park and shooting him multiple times. Both of Hernandez's conspirators are in custody, and Ortiz is said to be cooperating with authorities.

Ortiz reportedly informed police of a secret apartment belonging to Hernandez that contained a hooded sweatshirt and cranberry colored cap that Hernandez was seen wearing the night of the murder, as well as ammunition for the weapon apparently used in the Lloyd killing.

This strengthens the circumstantial case against the ex-tight end, in the absence of the actual murder weapon.
