Denver Broncos Von Miller Faces Four Game Suspension From NFL, Plans To Appeal

Denver Broncos Pro Bowl linebacker Von Miller is reportedly facing a suspension from the NFL for reasons yet to be reported.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Miller is "facing four-game suspension for violating NFL policy," but the specifics of which policy have yet to be confirmed.

Miller has begun the process of appealing the suspension and is hoping to get the four-game ban lifted, so it is unknown at this point whether or not the suspension will stand.

Miller, 24, had 18.5 sacks last year for the Broncos and will miss a quarter of the season if the suspension holds up.

It's been an up and down off-season for Denver as it started out very promising with the signing of Wes Welker and the team reaching a five-year agreement with offensive tackle Ryan Clady, but the latter half of the off-season have not been great for the franchise.

The Broncos lost Elvis Dumervil to the Ravens in March and recently two Broncos executives were suspended due to arrests on DUI charges. A loss of Von Miller for four games will only add to the list of problems Denver has faced recently.

Denver will open up the season at home against the defending Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens then travel to New York to play the Giants before hosting the Oakland Raiders and Philadelphia Eagles in the first four games of the season. Von Miller is hopeful his suspension will be lifted and he won't have to miss those games.
