At 4:00 p.m. ET boxing fans salivating over Saturday's clash between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao will see the two fighters face off one last time before the fighting begins at their final press conference. Watch the showdown free by clicking below.
For the casual fans that may not have been paying close attention to boxing, here are the basics for each fighter.
Floyd Mayweather Jr.
- Mayweather is undefeated as a professional, with a record of 47-0-0, with 26 knockouts.
- His last KO came in 2011 vs. Victor Ortiz, although it was very controversial. Mayweather had been head butted by Ortiz, for which Ortiz was deducted a point. He hugged Mayweather in apology, but once he broke the hug, Mayweather slugged him twice when he wasn't ready. The punches were legal, but didn't please many fans.
- Mayweather has a five-inch reach advantage on Pacquiao
- His style is defensive. Mayweather is capable of remaining in the pocket, but he prefers to dodge and counter punch.
- His signature punch is a straight right hand, although he has an array of tricks in his arsenal. He showed power in his left hand by knocking out Ricky Hatton with a short counter hook in 2007, his most recent knockout besides Ortiz.
Manny Pacquiao
- Pacquiao enters with a 57-5-2 record that includes 38 knockouts.
- Although he has five losses on his record, he was believed by many to have surpassed Mayweather in the pound-for-pound rankings when he rose to welterweight, obliterated Oscar De La Hoya, then ran through top opposition from 2008 through 2011. His rise also coincided with a brief retirement by Mayweather following his 2007 win over Hatton.
- Pacquiao lost twice in 2012, but has since rebounded with three clear victories.
- While Pacquiao is noted for his knockout power, he has not won by KO or TKO since a 2009 stoppage victory over Miguel Cotto.
- Pacquiao and Mayweather share five common opponents: Juan Manuel Marquez, Ricky Hatton, Shane Mosley, Oscar De La Hoya, Miguel Cotto.
- Pacquiao has knocked out all of those opponents except for Marquez, whom he's fought four times. Marquez knocked Pacquiao out in 2012.
- Mayweather has only knocked out Hatton of those five opponents, but dominated Marquez.
