Rob Gronkowski: Aaron Hernandez Questions Almost Cause Gronk To Walk Out On CBS Interview [VIDEO]

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is not known for being shy; he's been filmed dancing shirtless in countless bars, and was seen prancing about following New England's latest Super Bowl loss.

He clams up, though, when asked questions about his former teammate Aaron Hernandez, who is currently awaiting trial in a Massachusetts jail cell on first degree murder charges, as well as multiple weapons charges.

During an interview with CBS, Gronkowski nearly walked out after three Hernandez-related questions. The first time he was asked, Gronkowski said "next question," and declined again after a follow up. When the reporter asked a third time, Gronkowski got up to leave before being convinced there would be no more questions about the ex-Patriot.

Gronkowski has enough on his plate recovering from multiple forearm surgeries, a staph infection, and a back surgery without being burdened by the alleged misdeeds of his former teammate.

With Hernandez gone, Gronkowski is being relied upon to heal up soon. The Patriots entire offense was geared around their twin tight end threats, and figured to be even more oriented in 2013 on the pair with Wes Welker gone.

Last season Gronkowski was extremely productive, catching 55 passes for 790 yards and 11 touchdowns in just 11 games. The year before was a season that is legendary in tight end lore. Gronkowski played the full 16-game slate, reeling in 90 passes for 1,327 yards and a whopping 17 touchdowns. He even showed versatility by rushing the ball once for a two-yard touchdown.

All the while, Hernandez remains in solitary confinement, considered too much at risk to be left in general population. He is suspected of orchestrating the execution-style murder of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, an "associate," and the boyfriend of Hernandez's girlfriend's sister. Since Lloyd's killing circumstantial evidence has piled up against Hernandez.

He was released a mere two hours after his arrest.
