Tim Tebow, Aaron Hernandez: Tebow Told Tom Brady Ex-Tight End Was A Good Guy [VIDEO]

Tim Tebow and Tom Brady are teammates on the New England Patriots these days, but back in 2011, Tebow had a brief conversation with Brady following a game in which Aaron Hernandez's character was broached.

According to reports, Brady told Tebow he was trying to look out for Hernandez and Brandon Spikes, former teammates of Tebow's at Florida. Tebow responded that they were good guys, followed by Brady calling them "a lot to handle." Tebow agreed and said, "Absolutely."

As a Gator, Hernandez once drew a one-game suspension for a violation of the team's drug policy, and was questioned in a shooting incident that happened near a popular Gator bar that wounded two. Another incident involving Hernandez at Florida also involved Tebow; Hernandez reportedly refused to pay for drinks he consumed as a minor, and got into an argument with an employee. Tebow allegedly tried to quell the situation, but Hernandez became enraged and belted the man on the side of his head, rupturing his eardrum.

Responding police officers recommended felony assault charges for Hernandez.

He's in much more serious trouble now, currently sitting in a Massachusetts jail cell in solitary confinement on charges of murdering 27-year-old semipro football player Odin Lloyd. Lloyd has been called an "associate" of Hernandez, and was dating the sister of Hernandez's girlfriend.

Hernandez was arrested and charged with first-degree murder as well as multiple weapons charges; the Patriots released him just two hours after news of his arrest broke.

Spikes was suspended for four games in 2010 for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. He blamed an ingredient in his ADHD medication for the positive test, and said in a statement he should have been more diligent in making sure nothing illegal was in the medication. He was also suspended for half of a game while with the Gators for an instance of eye gouging.
