Jameis Winston Crab Legs: Famous Jameis Tells Jim Harbaugh He Wasn't Shoplifting, But Instead Got The Free Food From An Employee "Hook Up" [VIDEO]

It’s not the worst thing Jameis Winston has been accused of doing in his college career, but we all remember his arrest for stealing crab legs from a Publix food store in April of 2014.

New Info Emerges In Civil Suit Against Jameis Winston

Well a new clip from ESPN’s Draft Academy  sheds some interesting new revelations on that story. Speaking to Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh, viewers can see Winston claim that he wasn’t shoplifting or stealing the crab legs. Rather, the former Heisman winner says that he had a “hook-up”—a Publix employee on the inside—who provided him with food for free.

Presumably, Winston took the heat at the time rather than snitch on whoever the employee was.
Publix has responded to this new information on Wednesday afternoon, telling TMZ Sports that “they launched an internal investigation and never came across any evidence that suggests there was an arrangement that Mr. Winston or any other FSU athlete had with an employee."

"If Mr. Winston has new information about a person he had a deal with,” a rep from the company said, “we'd be happy to reopen the investigation."

Buccaneers Open To Trading Top Pick?

Jameis is considered by most to be the consensus number one pick in this month’s NFL draft, but his off-field decision-making and character concerns remains his biggest red flag.
