Rap star and diehard Los Angeles Lakers fan Ice Cube is the latest to voice his disgust with Dwight Howard’s decision to turn his back on one of the league’s most storied franchises to join the Houston Rockets.

Howard made his decision official on Friday, turning down he Lakers far more lucrative offer of a five-year $130 million deal. Since then Shaquille O’Neal has ripped him as being too small for the L.A. stage, Kobe Bryant unfollowed him on Twitter and over the weekend a picture posted on the Instagram page of Lakers' guard Jodie Meeks had him wearing a wig and dressed in a WNBA uniform.

While performing at L.A.’s Greek Theater during the Kings on the Mic tour, Cube told the crowd “f*** Dwight Howard; we don’t need no b****** on the team. “ He later referred to the 27-year-old All-Star center as “Dwight Coward.”

After days of meeting with the Rockets, Lakers, Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks and Atlanta Hawks, Howard settled on Houston largely based on the chance to play with All-Star guard James Harden.

Howard also told reporters he looks forward to being more prominently featured in Coach Kevin McHale’s offense than he ever was in L.A. playing in Mike D’Antoni’s system. During his postseason interview, he told GM Mitch Kupchak he never felt as if D’Antoni considered him one of the team’s leaders.

On Monday, the Lakers announced they have signed 31-year-old free-agent center Chris Kaman.
