Los Angeles Kings center Jarret Stoll suffered a seizure early Wednesday morning in his Hermosa Beach home, according to reports, and was rushed to a nearby hospital.

Kings general manager Dean Lombardi said, "Everything is OK. They've run some tests and they still had another one to run. The bottom line is that he's fine. Now the issue is what caused it. There are a myriad of things that can cause them."

There are questions as to whether Stoll's seizure had anything to do with suffering multiple concussions. Stoll took a shot to the head from Raffi Torres of the San Jose Sharks in the Western Conference semifinals, for with Torres was fined and suspended. He missed the rest of the series, but did play in the Western Conference Finals. In the 2006-2007 seasons, while a member of the Edmonton Oilers, he suffered his first concussion.

At the time of Stoll's second concussion, Torres disputed his suspension, claiming to have hit Stoll legally. According to the Sharks, the contact to Stoll's head was caused by movements Stoll made, while Torres went to check him.

Sharks general manager Doug Wilson was fined $100,000 for being overly critical of the league and its officiating. His offending comments were, "Upon review of the incident, it is abundantly clear that this was a clean hockey hit. ... Comparing the facts of this incident against the actual wording of Rule 48.1, it appears that the NHL has not only made an inappropriate application of this rule but is trying to make an example out of a player who is being judged on past events."

The Kings, who were 27-16-5 in the 2013 lockout-shortened season got 18 points out of Stoll, including seven goals and 11 assists. He notched three game winning goals this past season, and scored six of his seven goals while the Kings were at even strength.

During Los Angeles' Stanley Cup winning run through the 2011-2012 playoffs, Stoll scored two goals, one of which was in overtime, and registered five points. He logged a plus/minus of +5, and both of his goals were of the game winning variety.
