James Gandolfini, the late actor who played Tony Soprano on HBO's smash hit television series The Sopranos, has reportedly left much of his estate, worth an estimated $70 million, to his 13-year-old son and baby daughter.

According to The New York Post, Michael Gandolfini will receive most of the money in a trust fund that has been set aside for him until he turns 21. He will share that estate with 8-month-old Lilliana, his half-sister, when she turns 25.

According to The Post, the rest of it will be divided between his wife, sisters and daughter, while his secretary and personal assistant each received $200,000.

Gandolfini died of a heart attack on June 19th in Rome at the age of 51. Gandolfini won three Emmy awards for his portrayal of New Jersey mob kingpin Tony Soprano, and earned more than $1 million an episode.

Chris Albrecht, an HBO executive who gave The Sopranos the green light spoke after learning of Gandolfini's passing, saying, "Absolutely stunned. I got the word from Lorraine Bracco and just got off with Brad Grey who had just heard from David Chase. We had all become a family. This is a tremendous loss."

David Chase, the producer of the show that made Gandolfini famous said, "He was a genius. Anyone who saw him even in the smallest of his performances knows that. He is one of the greatest actors of this or any time.  A great deal of that genius resided in those sad eyes. I remember telling him many times, 'You don't get it.  You're like Mozart.'"

The Sopranos ran for six seasons on HBO, from 1999 to 2007, and was named the best written television show of all time by The Writers Guild of America. The next-highest HBO program on the prestigious list was The Wire, which checked in at No. 9.
