Deion Sanders, one of the greatest cornerbacks in NFL history and a two-time Super Bowl champion, continued his winning ways in the courtroom, gaining custody of his three children after finalizing two years of divorce proceedings with his ex-wife Pilar.
After the divorce was complete, Sanders exulted on Twitter with a barrage of tweets expressing joy and giving advice. In the first tweet Sanders wrote, "Thank God Thank God! This 2 year Drama filled divorce is over. Prenup stood, Custody of All kids,pay yo own fees! God is Faithful! Truth."
He followed that up by tweeting, "Men Listen closely! Don't choose a woman with your Flesh choose her with your Spirit & Heart. Yo flesh will Lie until yo flesh die. Truth."
His activity continued as he posed for a photo with his hands outstretched, then with his three children in his Jacuzzi, with a caption reading "Kids chilling with Daddy in the jacuzzi. Quality time baby. Truth."
In 2012, Sanders' ex-wife was arrested for assaulting the former NFL star in their home with a friend in an attack allegedly witnessed by the couple's two sons.
The photos of Sanders smiling with his kids paint the picture of a great father, as his statistics continue to form the visage of an all-time gridiron great.
In 14 seasons, Sanders primary role was as a shutdown cornerback. He recorded 53 career interceptions, returning nine of them for touchdowns. He also recovered 13 fumbles in his illustrious career, bringing one back to the house.
He served as a dynamic return man as well on special teams, scoring six touchdowns on punt returns, and another three on kickoff run backs.
Amazingly enough, Sanders also played baseball professionally for nine seasons with the New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds, and San Francisco Giants. He posted a .263 career batting average and stole 186 bases.
