What They're Saying

Newcastle manager John Carver (via Chronicle Live): "I've spoken to Lee Charnley and he has spoken to Mike [Ashley]. They acknowledged the fact we are a little bit short at the back and in particular center-back, but there is a process in place. I've been involved in that process in the last few weeks. We have another meeting in a fortnight with Lee and Graham Carr to talk about the future."

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger (via Express): "Ninety-five percent of the players will still be here next season and what is important is the attitude of this 95 percent of the players and how much we improve; how much we push on now until the end of the season.
