Aaron Rodgers Upset With ESPN After Jeremy Schapp Gaffe Confuses QB For Aaron Hernandez [VIDEO]

Aaron Rodgers, former NFL MVP and 2010 Super Bowl MVP quarterback is upset with ESPN after Jeremy Schapp, reporting on the Aaron Hernandez murder investigation, accidentally said he was arrested instead of the former New England Patriots tight end.

Rodgers took to Twitter to voice his displeasure, tweeting a curt, annoyed message that read: "Not funny ESPN." Schapp, on live television, split screened with a Massachusetts police vehicle transporting Hernandez to court, was discussing the case and the large amount of "circumstantial evidence implicating Aaron Rodgers."

ESPN hasn't commented on Schapp's slip-up, but Rodgers and Hernandez are not easily confused. Outside of their first name, the two NFL stars have little in common.

Although much is being made of the large contract Hernandez appears to have squandered, Rodgers recently inked a much larger deal, the biggest in NFL history in fact, a seven-year pact worth $130 million.

Rodgers plays quarterback, and plays it better than Hernandez ever played tight end. Since becoming the starter in 2008, Rodgers has never thrown for fewer than 28 touchdowns, and has never thrown more than 13 interceptions.

Rodgers has also been a model of durability, starting all but two games since 2008. In contrast, Hernandez as played in just 29 out of a possible 48 games since entering the league in 2010.

Rodgers has also never been charged with murder, as Hernandez was on Wednesday. He was arrested in his home and arraigned yesterday, then charged with first-degree murder and five gun charges. He is being held without bail until his next court hearing, which is scheduled for July 24th.

The tight end was released by New England mere hours after his arrest, and he now has much larger worries than the 2013 season, which he is highly unlikely to participate in, as prosecutors are alleging he was the one who fired the fatal shots into semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd, 27.
