What They're Saying
San Jose president Freddy Fernandez (via ESPN FC): "For us, he [Teodoro Cardenas] is a good coach. We wanted the gestures to end. but lamentably, because of the critics, the pressure, because of all of that he decided to make the decision [to resign] and we accept his decision."
Tigres UANL manager Ricardo Ferretti (via Esto): "We have to be strong mentally. Physically, we're going to recover mentally. The wear [from traveling] is very large, but it's a good situation that we knew would happen. There are players who already suffered contractures. I have four players [Guido Pizarro, Jesus Duenas, Joffre Guerron and Rafael Sobis] who are injured and we cannot risk to have them suffer a worse injury."
